playby: Antonia Thomaspersonality:
Hermione is intelligent, hard-working and intense. She is very careful to do well in classes and work as hard as she can to get the best grades of her age group. She is studious and a bookworm, however she does make time for hobbies on the side if she deems them worthy of her attention. She uses logic to solve things, even if her emotions get mixed in with that solving as well. She will often choose the most logical choice when a decision is placed before her. This can make her skeptical at times, often needing proof to accept something. She is the voice of reason among her friends. She will even go against her friends if she thinks what they are doing doesn't line up with her perception of what is right. She is compassionate, caring deeply for all people and creatures. She is someone that you want to be your advocate and your supporter, because she will stand beside you and she will stand loud. She is not afraid to stand up for her friends, even her enemies, if she thinks it's the right thing to do.Hermione does have her moments of panic, when her emotions or her success are in jeopardy. She can even act irrationally when she gets worked up about something or is scared. She tries not to do this, but sometimes it breaks through her bravery and her insecurities show through when she's not prepared. She is responsible, and can often be a perfectionist. People have described her as being well put together and organized, and they'd be right. Hermione is steadfast to the rules, as long as they coincide with the greater good. She is very determined, focused, and made sure any job she started was finished. She has strong willpower, and has proved that she will not break or betray her cause - even under torture.Because she is so opinionated and strong willed, people have called her bossy and a know-it-all. She does tell someone out right if she thinks they are making bad choices or being stupid, and this bluntness results in unpopularity on most accounts. She ignores bigots and stands up against bullies, even at her own expense.
history:
Hermione's parents were dentist, and wonderful ones at that. Wonderful parents, too. They were incredibly loving and happy to have a baby girl. And then, one day, little two year old Hermione was making books float in the air around her. Picture books, of course. Her parents were pretty freaked out at first, but were quickly approached by the Ministry about her powers. Normally, muggleborns find out when they receive their Hogwarts letter, but Hermiones abilities were strong and her parents often had to leave her with babysitters so the Ministry felt it was best to intervene early and prepare them.
Hermione was more than ecstatic, and was basically raised knowing what she was. She read every book on the subject, as well as hundreds of others, trying to prepare herself as much as possibly for her life to come. Her parents were incredibly proud, once they got over the shock, and have supported her unconditionally.
During Hermione's years at school, a lot of hell was raised. Her first year she met Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, her best friends. It took some time, some tears, and some stupid decisions to get to that point, but they became very close. She, with her friends found the secret passage to the sorcerers stone.
Second year he faced Gildory Lockhart, an annoying famous person who thought he and Hermione were best friends. She also dealt with the heir of Slytherin opening the chamber of secrets and releasing the basilisk to attack muggleborns. She was paralyzed after she figured out it was a basilisk. She wrote it down on a paper, ripping it out of a book, for Ron and Harry to find and solve the mystery.
Third year, she found out the truth about Harry's godfather Sirius Black and his parents old friend Peter Pettigrew. She also took extra classes, as was given special permission to use a time turner, which later aided them in their mission to save Buckbeak.
Fourth year, Harry was a champion in the Tri-wizard Tournament, against his will, Hermione did everything she could to help him, even though he and Ron were fighting and that was stressful. The press thought her and Harry were dating and it was a big hullabaloo. Cedric died, and Voldemort returned due to do some fancy potion and spellwork by his followers.
Fifth year, Umbridge came into Hogwarts. She was a crazy politician type who wanted to be a dictator. The Minster, Fudge, didn't believe that Voldemort was back but was soon proved wrong when Hermione and her friends broke into the Ministry and Voldemort attacked. Hermione and her friends started the DA Dumbledores Army, a group dedicated to teaching students how to fight. Hermione also founded S.P.E.W. Which is a group for elvish rights and welfare. She made pins and all, ever the dedicated teen. Hermione also became a prefect.
Sixth year things seemed fairly normal, until Harry learned about Horcruxes and that Voldemort used them to stay alive. He helped Dumbledore find one, only to have Dumbledore killed that same night. Hermione, meanwhile, was dealing with stupid people like Ron and trying to get Harry to throw away that creepy potions book he was using. Turned out, it was Professor Snape's book. Great fun!
Then, seventh year, Hermione did not attend school. She wiped her parents memories to protect them, and traversed the countryside with Ron and Harry, finding horocruxes and destroying them. Until, finally, they reached Hogwarts and a mass battle broke out. Many died. But, in the end, Harry gave his life to save his friends. Hermione and Ron kissed for the first time when he said he was worried about the House elves. Adorable. Harry came back from the dead, however, and Hermione and the others continued the battle, Voldemort was defeated at Hogwarts, and the world was looking at rebuilding.
The summer after the battle, Hermione faced a lot of personal decisions. She and Ron decided not to date, wanting to focus on themselves and recovering and healing. Hermione, accompanied by some friends, located her parents and (with the help of healers) restored their memories, bringing them back home. She spent most of her summer doing that. She informed the school that she would be returning to finish her last year and they offered her the Head Girl position, which she took proudly.---alias: suzie
