While the dinghies that are used to row the first years to the castle for the first time are only used one night a year, they still need a place to be stored. The boathouse is an underground harbor where the dinghies are docked, and while there's no way to get out onto the lake without a teacher's wand, the boathouse often serves as a place of quiet introspection for those who are overwhelmed by school.

Hufflepuff Common Room
Boys DormitoryGirls Dormitory
A stack of vinegar barrels guards the entrance to the Hufflepuff Common Room; if you tap the correct rhythm onto them, you'll be admitted - if not, covered in vinegar. Once inside, one can find sunlight streaming in from windows set near the ceiling of the room. The common room is whimsical and warm, and certainly the most homey of places in all of Hogwarts.

Hufflepuff Head's Office
There are no sub-boards within this board.
If Hufflepuff students need to contact their head, the office is the best place to go; here, meetings are held about intra-house disputes and the futures of Hufflepuff students.

A corridor in the basement holds a painting of a bowl of fruit; tickle the pear, and you'll find a passageway that leads into a hub of activity. There are always house elves bustling around here, and they'd be more than happy to make you a sweet or salty treat to tide you over in between meals.

Basement
Located above the dungeons, but still beneath the grounds of the school, the basement is markedly cooler than the other levels of the school. The Hufflepuff Common room and the school's kitchens can both be found here.
