Custodes Vitae are the group started by the Avas siblings, the antagonists. They believe that muggles are a danger to wizard and see themselves as guardians to the innocent, to the poor magical beings who were born in muggle or half muggle households. Hence why they call themselves 'Custodes Vitae' or 'Guardians of Life'.

The Order of the Phoenix is mostly handling putting the world back together since the battle of Hogwarts. They are preparing for a time of peace, helping the Ministry get back on track.

Being in the DA is more a status symbol than anything, now. They are also preparing for a time of peace, taking care of things at the school and mostly just being a strong support group for each other. These members have been part of the DA through it all, and that should reflect in your character history if you want to claim this group. They are not really an action group anymore, rather than just a strong support.

This is the new group that will be started to combat the Custodes Vitae once their feet get off the ground. Custodes Vitae will make their first move in IC December, causing this new group to come into formation. You may be a part of this group AND the DA, but this is the action group whereas the DA is not. It will have many of the same members, if people are willing to fight again.
