Classes at Hogwarts had hardly even started yet, but it was already feeling as if everything was dragging on forever. Of course, things were significantly less exciting than the last couple years, with the battle and all, but it still seemed a bit early to be tired of classes. Probably the best thing to do in this situation was to refresh your mind, get ready to face anything that came up. From this point, the beginning of the year, things were only going to become more difficult.
Luckily, it was the weekend break, which would give Jaxon enough time to clear his mind and prepare for his classes that were coming up in a few days. In order to do so, Jaxon had went down to the entrance hall, one of his favorite places to go to sort out his thoughts. The high, elegant ceiling and spacious interior gave the hall both a calm and safe feel to it. Sure, quite a few students passed through here throughout the day, but it was still a great place to hang out, at least in Jaxon's opinion.
Jaxon's mind drifted for a few minutes, quickly switching from one subject of thought to another. He started to ponder on what he'd learned and done during his years at Hogwarts, a small grin playing across his face. He'd learned so much about the world during his time here, yet he'd barely even spoken to many of the students in the school, let alone the ones in his year. Maybe this time, things would be different. As a few students walked by, a surge of confidence rushed over him. "Hey!" Jaxon called out, waving to a girl of whom he was sure was in his year. Hopefully she'd reply, or at least acknowledge his greeting, although he wouldn't blame her if she didn't.
