They say that magic provides the witches and wizards with unlimited ability, but what's magic when we have science on our side? We may not know what spells they have, but I trust my team and believe in what we’ve created. The differences between them and us boils down to a few simple lines of genetic code. In the end, that’s not much, is it? Given that we’ve been able to manipulate genetics for years, it wasn’t that far of a stretch to see if we could narrow that gap.
Our experiments in creating magic-resistant super-soldiers didn’t produce quite the results we hypothesized, but when you're on the brink of war, you use whatever weapon comes to hand. These mutants can give us the edge we need if…when…things go to hell. Each of our soldiers came from a military or law enforcement background, so they know what it means to fight and defend. We need that edge if we’re going to survive.
As tensions ramp up between the Death Eaters and resistance groups, the muggle government is edging closer and closer to breaking the Statute of Secrecy. With both governments fearing an inevitable conflict, paranoia fuels an arms race that the muggles may have just won with their creation of genetically enhanced soldiers.
