Harry Potter is brave. It is quite easy to see that in the way he is willing to do anything to protect those people and places he cares for. He goes up against odds that are seemingly insurmountable, even when he's afraid, because he is willing to fight for what he believes in. He doesn't let the possibility of failure stop him from doing what he knows needs to be done.

However, he can also be known to be quite reckless. Often, Harry runs into the unknown without thinking because he knows that people he loves are in danger. In these instances, he rarely pauses to think of the consequences of his actions, for himself and for others because he gets too caught up in the action and in defending those he cares about.

Harry is unwaveringly loyal. Once you become a friend, he will defend you, no matter the cost. It is not hard to gain Harry's trust. At the same time, when it's a first meeting it's not hard to break his trust either. First impressions make a difference to Harry and he places a lot of emphasis on them. 

history:

Harry Potter- also known as the Boy Who Lived or the Chosen One- has had a fairly difficult life up to this point. When he was one yer old, his parent were murdered by Lord Voldemort. Harry spent the next ten years living with his aunt and uncle, who tried to suppress the magic out of him by making him as miserable as possible.

On Harry's eleventh birthday, Hagrid found him and informed him that he was a wizard and had a place at Hogwarts, a wizarding school. Despite his aunt and uncle's arguments against him going, Harry did and was finally able to find his true place in the world. In his first year, he was able to make lasting friends, learn some magic and also come face to face with Lord Voldemort and win.

Over the next five years at school, Harry found and lost his godfather, defeated and/or evaded the Dark Lord three more times, fought his Death Eaters and ended up convincing the magical world that Lord Voldemort was in fact back, before he took over. He also spent time with Professor Dumbledore, discovering how to defeat the Dark Lord once and for all. 

Once Lord Voldemort took control of the ministry (the summer before Harry's seventh year in Hogwarts), Harry, Ron and Hermione went into hiding. They spent the majority of the next year searching for Horcruxes and ways to destroy them, all cultivating in the Battle of Hogwarts. This is where Harry learned that a part of Lord Voldemort was inside of himself. He allowed Lord Voldemort to kill him and was able to return back to the world and- with the last Horcrux destroyed- was finally able to defeat Tom Riddle. 

The last few months have been hard for Harry. Like never before, he practiced Occlumency, trying to clear his mind of all the tragedy and hard things he's seen. Really, all Harry wants now is to have a peaceful life, which he knows is probably an impossibility, but he's still hoping for it. Now that school's starting, Harry had the choice to go back and finish his last year at school. He decided to not go back and instead join the ministry's auror force.
